following license terms,
and maintaining academic integrity.

Follow the License

  • Always check the license
  • Look for restrictions (NC, ND, SA)
  • Make sure your use aligns

Provide Proper Attribution (TASL)

  • Title
  • Author
  • Source
  • License

Indicate Changes

  • Say if you edited, remixed, or adapted
  • Example:

    Adapted from [Title] by [Author], licensed under CC BY 4.0

Respect the Spirit of Open

  • Don’t remove attribution
  • Don’t misrepresent original work
  • Share improvements when possible
